The Spanbergers invite all Virginians to visit the Executive Mansion to learn more about this historic home. Free tours of the Mansion are available for individuals and groups at various times throughout the year.
Regular Tour Times
The Executive Mansion is currently open for tours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, except for state holidays.
No appointment or reservation is necessary for groups of fewer than 20 people.
Please proceed to the Executive Mansion gate and inform the Capitol Police Officer know that you are there for a tour. All visitors entering the Executive Mansion must complete a security screening.
An experienced docent will guide your tour and answer your questions. Tours last approximately 30 minutes.
Please note that because the Executive Mansion accepts reservations for groups of 20 or more, there may be situations when all tours are reserved on a particular day due to a very large group. When possible, we will post closings on this website. If you are traveling to visit the Mansion, you can email executivemansion@governor.virginia.gov to verify that tours will be available on a specific day.
Group Tours
If your group has more than 20 members, please email us at executivemansion@governor.virginia.gov so that we can do our best to accommodate your requested date.
Group reservations will be held for up to 15 minutes after the scheduled time. After 15 minutes we will do our best to fit your group in for an abbreviated tour.
